Well, Crap.

Today, I learned what happens to knitters who spend two hours on socks when they know darn well they should be doing laundry.  Mistakes, that’s what.  I’ve been knitting for ten years, making socks for about a year, and the last four pairs or so have been knitted two-at-a-time.  I love two-at-a-time knitting since it ensures a perfect match between your socks – no more scrambling to find the elusive post-it where you wrote down the heel turn counts, and no chance for Single Sock Syndrome.  All of this implies that I know what I’m doing, at least most of the time.

There’s only one problem.

For the first time EVER, I grabbed the wrong strand when switching socks.

See that single strand of pink yarn between the two socks?  CONNECTING the two socks?  Dangit.
